1. The brave pigeon refuses to give up its food find, even though we are heading straight for it on the path. It doesn’t even fly away when we reach it so Lily, who has had her nose pecked by chickens and been told to cluck off on a number of occasions too, gives it a wide berth.
2. The two boys are mirrored as they race along the pavement together, their outside legs pushing at the same time on every stroke.
3. I can’t find the perfect music to accompany my proofreading session on the balcony. Then it hits me: Gershwin. Of course, it’s got to be Gershwin.
