I'm a bit late for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek but want to say something anyway. I have lost many many years to depression & anxiety, inc my entire early 30s. Since 2014, I've been doing better - and making up for lost time! Over the past year, cycling has been a big part of that.
On Saturday afternoon, we were at the Butt of Lewis - just about the furthest point away from Windsor while still in the UK, with no internet access or phone coverage. This may or may not have been a coincidence. twitter.com/johnleach/stat…
Back on the mainland after a flying visit to/through Skye. Heading south now. Had hoped to get to Loch Lomond but time got away from us. Camping in Tyndrum again instead - the colour scheme is greyer than last Sunday 🙂 pic.twitter.com/JQSOxU0Rf3
Evening ferry from Talbert to Skye. Daisy-dog has been brilliant on all three ferries we've taken - including the fairly rough 5.5hr outward journey. She's currently asleep at my feet 😄 pic.twitter.com/PiLDv4wxCb
Last night on the Outer Hebrides. We stayed at Huisnis last night, the western tip of North Harris: absolutely gorgeous bay & walked over to see the isle of Scarp at sunset. Tonight, we're on the NW Lewis coast: greyer sky & shore but still fab, just metres from the sea 😃 pic.twitter.com/sk9wi8M50C
