3BT – add up, pack of spaniels, jammy

1. When my columns of numbers add up correctly on the first try.

2. The pack of happy cocker spaniels springs out of the car and instantly disperses into the woodland. Later, their owner calls them back and they obey, only to disappear again in a burst of fast moving fur on the nod of his head. We tell the owner that we’re jealous.

3. An unbelievable jammy shot wins me the match.

3BT – lazy day, adventures, knows me so well

I’ve caught yet another cold (though, like the last one, it’s blissfully short lived).

1. Lily seems to want a lazy day like me so we stretch out on the sofa together. She seems to spend more of her day asleep on her back than she does upright or conscious. (I am not want for cat company either, they all visit for a portion of the day.)

2. To plan adventures. (Albeit ones in this country with the dog.)

3. John pre-vinegars my chips before bringing in the plates.

3BT – bacon, the Major, a winning combo

1. We umm and ah about whether to add bacon to the croissants then remember there is an open pack that needs eating: well if we *have* to… The saltiness offsets the sweet jam perfectly as I knew it would.

2. We laugh at how the Major clearly finds their male dog rather attractive then to give them a rest from his attentions, we loop him on a lead and walk him back down the hill.

3. Pizza, a bad film, Heroes chocolates and winner stays on Bust A Move with friends – the perfect way to help me forget about policy documents and selfish, greedy people.

3BT – done, lunch, fun in the fleeting

1. To finalise and click send on something that I’ve been working on for over a month.

2. Kippers and poached eggs and nutmeg-spinach for lunch? Oh my!

3. We play the game until we’re passed the point of tiredness. I realise it’s just about my favourite thing of the week – both joy and frustration are fleeting but it’s fun even when I’m losing (which isn’t that often, to be fair).

3BT – wallets/it can wait, bulge/illusion, busted

1. I tidy my scruffy stack of papers into neat plastic wallets. Doing so reveals topics and a structure for the report.

1b. I want the transport folder but Tilda is stretched out across it. I leave it where it is.

2. When John leans down to hug Lily her eyes bulge ever so slightly. She’s quickly showing her belly and tail wagging with delight.

2b. One of the chickens is giving the illusion she is outside the sealed run. I laugh and laugh as I try to unsee it.

3. Our before bedtime Bust A Move playing has become a habit. Between our pathetic trash talking and the delight of a jammy move or a well angled bouncer, I very much enjoy playing and how much it clears my head.

3BT – playtime/funnel/speckled oatmeal/float/marbles, a moment, typo

1. I dip and dollop, and I splatter and spray. I don’t know if (m)any of my glaze test tiles will come out as intended, but either way, it’s been good to play.

1b. Just in time, I remember to use a funnel as a support when pouring over a pot – it works brilliantly.

1c. Good old Speckled Oatmeal – always reliable.

1d. The bowl is so light that it floats – I slowly push it down until it is perfectly, evenly glazed.

1e. Something hasn’t quite worked out but just before I scrap the clay, I decide to roll it thinly between cling film layers. The coloured slip on top of the body squishes and marbles in an interesting way – I get excited and immediately make some more of the same.

2. John is leaving just as I get home. It’s nice to see him, even just for a moment, before he goes off to his lesson.

3. A neighbour makes a typo and inadvertently complains about the lack of footBaths along our road. It truly is a travesty ;)
