1. I dip and dollop, and I splatter and spray. I don’t know if (m)any of my glaze test tiles will come out as intended, but either way, it’s been good to play.

1b. Just in time, I remember to use a funnel as a support when pouring over a pot – it works brilliantly.

1c. Good old Speckled Oatmeal – always reliable.

1d. The bowl is so light that it floats – I slowly push it down until it is perfectly, evenly glazed.

1e. Something hasn’t quite worked out but just before I scrap the clay, I decide to roll it thinly between cling film layers. The coloured slip on top of the body squishes and marbles in an interesting way – I get excited and immediately make some more of the same.

2. John is leaving just as I get home. It’s nice to see him, even just for a moment, before he goes off to his lesson.

3. A neighbour makes a typo and inadvertently complains about the lack of footBaths along our road. It truly is a travesty ;)
