1. Tilda enjoying the morning sun on the window sill. (I’m especially glad to enjoy a tickle with the warm kitty because she’s AWOL in the evening.)

2. I like the neatness of beadrack design – no measuring required.

2b. Over lunch, we nerd out over the science and history of the type of clay we’re using (and related technologies) and later, we put the world to rights too.

2c. Shots of colour in the white powder. In my bowl, it’s a teal green which turns sea-green when the powders become paste – but it’ll come out of the kiln a vibrant turquoise.

3. Little J can’t quite believe she’s so close to a dog. Lily lies on her side, then her back, while she is being inspected, then when Little J looks away, Lily sits up to reciprocate: her whiskers tickle Little J’s ear.

4. To sit on the sofa, under a blanket, with some lovely cheesecake and the best cup of tea I’ve had all day.
